Creatures — Grippo adds beautifully to the Type I section of the jam. Out of the space, Spuds kicks into a funk groove and the band dives headfirst into a space highly reminiscent of Herbie Hancock. Rick and Grippo trade licks off each other like old friends while Peter saws away at grimy rhythm guitar. Builds in this zone for a while and is a must-hear piece of improv.
